PET FOOD WITH “SUPERFOOD” ADDITIVES
The term “superfood” refers to food products that not only satisfy hunger but also have a beneficial impact on health and energy, supporting the well-being of our pets in many ways. These foods contain plant-based ingredients, antioxidants, minerals, and trace elements.
Superfood for dogs and cats is an excellent way to naturally provide your pet with all the essential vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that support the proper functioning of their body, without the need for additional supplements. A key element of a healthy dog or cat diet is, of course, a high amount of meat, which in top-quality foods serves as the foundation and is listed first in the ingredient list, making up the largest percentage.
Example additives:
- Spirulina (Algae) – rich in protein, vitamins (especially B12 and A), minerals (such as iron, magnesium, and potassium), and antioxidants. It is also a source of omega-3 fatty acids and chlorophyll. Spirulina supports the immune system, boosts energy levels, and promotes healthy skin, coat, and digestive system.
- Brewer's yeast – rich in protein, B vitamins (including B1, B2, B6, B12), minerals (such as zinc, selenium, and magnesium), and fiber. It has many health benefits: supports the immune system, improves skin and coat condition, and aids digestion.
- Salmon oil – a valuable source of unsaturated fatty acids, especially omega-3 (EPA and DHA), which improve skin condition by moisturizing it, making the coat shiny and healthy. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties and supports the immune system, helping the body fight infections.
- Blueberries and bilberries – Rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and anthocyanins, which help protect the body's cells from damage caused by free radicals. This supports skin health, coat condition, and overall body strengthening. They also support the immune, digestive, and cardiovascular systems. Thanks to their low calorie content and high fiber, these fruits can help maintain a healthy body weight.
- Yucca Shidigera extract – supports digestive processes, improving nutrient absorption and promoting healthy gut flora. It may reduce the risk of constipation or diarrhea while also helping to reduce the unpleasant odor of feces. It is a rich source of antioxidants, supports joints, and has anti-inflammatory effects.
GRAIN-FREE / GLUTEN-FREE PET FOOD
